About Larry - Lawyer Bio
Larry Dean Nelson is a Sioux Falls lawyer who has dedicated his practice to helping South Dakotans get through tough times. Larry strives to treat each and every one of his clients with the respect and personal attention that they deserve. Larry grew up on a family grain farm in North Dakota. After graduating high school, Larry went to Black Hills State University in South Dakota to attain his undergraduate degree. He then went on to attend the University of South Dakota School of Law. After graduating from USD in 1980, he was employed by Farm Credit Services of Omaha, Nebraska. Later on, Larry lived and practiced law in Iowa City, Iowa.
In 1986, he returned to South Dakota and joined a Sioux Falls law firm. In the late 1980s, Larry worked for Rick A. Yarnall, a Chapter 7, Chapter 12, and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee. From 1988 to 1993, Larry served as Yarnall's Chapter 12 Administrator and Attorney for the Chapter 13 Trustee. In 1994, Larry became a sole practitioner representing debtors throughout South Dakota. In addition to his bankruptcy work, he has served as a Court Appointed Receiver.
Larry has practiced law for more than 25 years and is proud to have helped so many South Dakotans recover from difficult times.
